What is Rad1.org

While reporting a scan of a patient with severe lung disease secondary to smoking, it occurred to Dr Syed Junaid if a patient could see the effects of smoking inside their bodies, perhaps this may alter their behaviour and leave a positive impact on the patient’s health. Thus rad1.org was born.

Radiologists are often perceived as sitting in dark rooms looking at black and white images. The RAD1.ORG  enables radiologists to engage with the general public.

Radiology is central to nearly all patient care and often the most important step in diagnosis and treatment. Radiologists offer a perspective to patients like no other doctor, interpreting scans of inside patients’ bodies.

RAD1.ORG brings this unique perspective into the everyday lives of the public.
